Auf der Website des Schallplattenlabels geben Les Claypool und Sean Ono Lennon bekannt, ihr drittes Gemeinschaftsprojekt als The Claypool Lennon Delirium sei eine Auseinandersetzung mit "morality, mortality, and the warnings of A.I., with a story-world that doubles as a cautionary tale about sustainability and the slippery slope of optimization without empathy".
Sowohl CD als auch Doppelvinyl sind mit einem vierundzwanzigseitigen Comicbegleitbooklet ausgestattet. "What began as an ambitious idea for a feature-length animated film ultimately became a fully realized graphic narrative – one that now defines the album's identity as much as the music itself", heißt es weiter auf der Labelwebsite. Erste Vorabauskopplung ist das von einem mächtig, gewaltigen Funkbass angetriebene "The Golden Egg Of Empathy", mit Will Smiths Tochter, der Sängerin, Schauspielerin und Tänzerin Willow Smith, als Gastsängerin. Ein Tonträgerkleinod sicherlich, nicht nur wegen der visuellen Gestaltung.
